Session One : July 5-16th |
Prek/k: Wacky Mad Scientists & Creative Chefs
"What happens if I. . . ?" We'll be doing lots of experiments this session - working with magnets, floating and sinking, mixing potions, exploring our five senses and learning about some of the organs in our bodies. You never know what we might try - but the results are guaranteed to be fun! These weeks will also be devoted to cooking our own tasty food! We'll taste and work with a variety of ingredients and cook something new each day. We'll also talk about where food comes from and set up a mini market in our classroom for our friends to shop. This session will culminate in us preparing a family lunch - everyone is invited! Yum!

What might you see if you went to the beach? What lives in the water? What fish live in Lake Washington? What about on the shore? What are the characteristics of sharks, dolphins, and whales? What can we learn about an Orca whale? This session, we will be exploring all those ideas and more, as we set our sights on the ocean and the beach and all that happens there. |

Once upon a time in a far off land. . . Stories will be our focus this session, as we read, write, and act out a variety of fairy and folk tales including royalty, friendly knights, and fairies!
