Toddler Program
(for children ages 18 to 36 months as of September 1st)
The Toddler Program is held at our Madison Park campus (1023 32 Avenue East). We offer a two-day program (Tuesday/Thursday) and a three-day program (Monday/Wednesday/Friday). The school day is 4 hours long, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m. There are between eight and ten children in each class with two teachers. Children are taught Spanish at this location.

Morning Preschool Program
(for children 3 and 4 years of age)
We offer Preschool classes at both our Capitol Hill campus (201 Harvard Avenue East) and our Madison Valley campus (1612 Martin Luther King Way). A two-day program (Tuesday/Thursday) and a three-day program (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) are offered at each. The school day is 4 hours long, beginning at 8:45 a.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. Children are taught French at Capitol Hill and Spanish at Madison Valley.

Morning Pre-Kindergarten Program
(for children 4 years of age by September 1, 2009)
We offer a Pre-Kindergarten program at both our Capitol Hill campus (201 Harvard Avenue East) and our Madison Valley campus (1608 Martin Luther King Way). The Pre-Kindergarten program runs five days a week, 4 hours a day, beginning at 8:30/9:00 a.m. and ending at 12:30/1:00 p.m. Children are taught French at Capitol Hill and Spanish at Madison Valley.

Kindergarten Program
(for children 5 years of age by September 1, 2009)
We offer a small Kindergarten program at our Capitol Hill campus (201 Harvard Avenue East). There are up to eight children in the class with one teacher. Specialists teach enrichment classes at school throughout the week (such as art, French, music, movement). The Kindergarten program runs five days a week for 5 hours each day.

Mixed-Age Afternoon Program
(for children 3 to 5 years of age)
We currently offer classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 p.m at both our Capitol Hill campus (201 Harvard Avenue East) and our Madison Valley campus (1612/1608 Martin Luther King Way). Families may choose to attend one, two or all three afternoons a week. We offer various “special classes” at the start of each afternoon session (art, Spanish, music and French, yoga/creative dance for 2008-2009) and children are welcome to enroll in the special class only (45 minutes) or stay until 4:00 for various enrichment activities.

Tuition & Fee

Harvard Avenue School tuition is based upon a full years operating expenses and consideration has been given to illness, holidays and vacation periods. Since our expenses are constant and our enrollment is limited, we are unable to give discounts or refunds.
Please remember that parents are obligated to pay tuition during periods of absence from the school unless your child has been hospitalized, in which case, tuition will be adjusted.

Tuition Rates (2008-2009) for all programs are as follows: (N.B. tuition rates are expected to increase by approximately $25 per month/per program for the 2009-2010 school year)

Supply Fee: $150.00 per each child (waived if the entire year’s tuition is paid in full in August)

Morning Rates:
$4,000.00/year ($400/month) - 2 days/week
$5,500.00/year ($550/month) - 3 days/week (MWF)
$7,750.00/year ($775/month) - 5 days/week

Afternoon Rates: 1-4pm
$1,000.00/year ($100/month) – 1 afternoon/week
$2,000.00/year ($200/month) – 2 afternoons/week
$2,900.00/year ($290/month) – 3 afternoons/week ($100 savings if you sign up for all three afternoon programs
One Hour Afternoon Rates (NA for Art afternoon classes): $55.00/month

2. Submit three-part application form and non-refundable $25 application fee (and teacher reference form if applying to Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten) by January 15, 2009.

3. Applicants either will be offered a place in our 2009-2010 class or will be added to our Wait List. Parents will be notified Between February 1 and March 31, 2009.

4. Parents of children to whom spaces are offered will be invited to school for a small group tour and classroom visit prior to having to commit to the program.

5. A signed Admission Agreement and non-refundable enrollment deposit ($400 for 2008-2009) are required to secure a child’s place in the class.
